TMA membership categories

 

Turnaround Management Association

 

Membership of the Turnaround Management Association - Southern Africa is on an individual, non-transferable basis i.e. not in a firm's name.

Membership is open to all interested in corporate renewal and turnaround, (not to turnaround practitioners only) as summarised by the membership categories below).

Regular members:

  • Turnaround professionals - individuals professionally practicing and specialising as turnaround managers or consultants to 1) distressed and underperforming businesses, and to 2) providers of debt and equity capital to distressed and underperforming businesses.
  • Other service providers - lawyers, accountants, management consultants, financial advisory services, appraisers, auctioneers, liquidators, etc. to 1) distressed and underperforming businesses, and to 2) providers of debt and equity capital to distressed and underperforming businesses.
  • Providers of debt and equity capital - banks, institutional investors, private equity investors, development funds, etc. providing new capital to, or wishing to safeguard their current investment in/lending to distressed and underperforming businesses.

Government:

Individuals who are in the employ of a governmental agency or who are members of a legislative body or who are judges.

Academic:

Individuals who are engaged in the academic profession and who participate or contribute to the turnaround management business through their teaching, writing, research or other professional activities.

Students:

Individuals who are attending a college or university full time, and who are interested in pursuing studies related to the turnaround management business.  Students may not vote or hold elective office.
